The city of Stockholm expects its second fast charging unit to be operational in spring 2015. Also in 2015 Stockholm expects to inaugurate the Urban Consoliation Centre, aiming at June.
The Swedish capital welcomed the first fast charging unit in February 2014, which services the consolidation centre in the Royal Sea Port area. This charging station is available for the public as well.
The opening of the Urban Consoliation Centre is planned for this year, aiming at June. Study visits to both the UCC and the CCC are welcomed. Please contact Eva Sunnerstedt of the City of Stockholm through the FREVUE website, if you are interested in learning more onsite.
Because of the success of the first consolidation centres, interest for two more consolidation centres in Stockholm has arisen: in Årstafältet/Söderstaden and Hagastaden. Because of the positive benefits from the CCC at the Royal Sea Port Area, new CCC’s might actually start operating in similar ways in the region. There is strong political support for the trial with the urban consolidation centre. If this trial is positive more UCC could follow too.
In general it’s interesting to share that there is a large and growing interest for electric vehicles in Sweden, as well as for smart logistic solutions.
